Aung San Suu Kyi visits Ireland

On Monday 18 June, Burmese Nobel Peace Prize winner Aung San Suu Kyi will make a short visit to Dublin. This will be part of her first trip abroad in over two decades. She will touch down at Dublin airport at 3pm, where she will be greeted by Foreign Affairs Minister Eamon Gilmore. Flower bouquets by Flowers.ie will be presented at the airport by children greeting Aung San Suu Kyi.

Bono and fellow aid campaigner Bob Geldof will also stage a special tribute concert in the Bord Gais Energy Theatre, where Ms Suu Kyi will be presented with Amnesty International’s prestigious Ambassador of Conscience award. Floral arrangements by Flowers.ie will adorn the theatre foyer. Orchids are synonymous with the Nobel Peace Prize winner and at Flowers.ie beautiful arrangements have been prepared. Thousands of supporters are expected to honour the Nobel Peace Prize laureate as she delivers an open-air address in Dublin and receives the freedom of Dublin city.
